About The First Tee of Los Angeles
The First Tee of Los Angeles reaches out to youth ages 6 to 17, targeting those in communities where golf is traditionally not found. Students enrolled in The First Tee of Los Angeles programs are given professional instruction, discounted access to golf courses, practice facilities and properly fitted equipment. The First Tee of Los Angeles Life-Skill Experience program is offered at 13 public golf courses in Los Angeles county where youth are exposed to the Nine Core Values curriculum and the Nine Healthy Habits while learning the fundamentals of the game. Additionally, The First Tee of Los Angeles offers the National Schools Program at local elementary/middle schools and the DRIVE Program at partner youth serving agencies (i.e.: Boys & Girls Clubs, Girls Inc., Kyds Inc., Girl Scouts, Beyond the Bell, and Salvation Army Recreation Centers).
